[In a discussion on The Satanic Bible that turns to crimes in the Bible]
If God is God and he commands people not to fornicate, then it is His right as a righteous God to execute judgment. If you have a problem with the girls being taken as domestic servants, then you also don't understand that this was a mercy at the time as in those days with their father's murdered in war they would have been turned away from most and without a means of livelyhood. Being taken in as opposed to being left to wander, become beggers, or worse death from having no means to care for themselves in that day and age, was a mercy of great proportion.

Wait ... are you actually admitting that the edicts prescribed by God for the ancient Israelites might be different than the ones that should be followed today?
BAH! What kind of a Fundie are you?! Get back to stoning your children for cursing you and marrying women you rape!
*VRRT* *VRRT* Psycho alert. Crazy McPsychopants up there needs to calm the fuck down and go sell the crazy somewhere else.
Also, Tabby, there's a Politics and Religion forum at the AllSpark. Brainless runs rampant in there, trolling any thread he can preach in without completely changing the topic and generally proving he's got all the brains of a particularly stupid mollusk.
What the hell is this, the "Gospel Of Optimus Prime"?PS Attempting to justify murder of one's family, rape, and slavery as an act of "mercy" by followers of a righteous God is ghoulishly similar to a "neo-nazi" I once met justifying the holocaust as reducing overpopulation and unemployment in Europe.

That's your god's fault, fuckwit! Your god can't claim benevolence towards slave girls after massacring their fucking families!
"GOD HATES SINNERS SO REPENT BECAUSE GOD LOVES YOU"
Wow, I've never seen someone contradict themselves that fast before, even the Bible doesn't manage it that fast! xD
Since their parents are the ones who are supposed to sell them, your argument makes no sense. And by the way, why don't they do the same with the boys?, or have they any guarantee at all that they're not beggars or dead?
So, God forbids fornication but disposes a war to get girls for sexual solace?, wouldn't it be easier if their parents were not killed, to begin with?
"Domestic servants?"
"Hi, there, Sailor, wanna party?"
"Who was that lady, Dad."
"Why she's a domestic servant, son."
"If God is God and he commands people not to fornicate, then it is His right as a righteous God to execute judgment."
Yes, but is 'God' God? What if the book containing all of 'God's' commandments was made up by some other person or persons for nefarious, deceitful or selfish reasons?
I think I'd like to see a very good provenance for these 'commandments' first.
So those "domestic servants" (sounds so much better than the more accurate term "sex slaves," doesn't it?) should have been happy that they weren't killed after they were conquered. Yes, I can see that attitude being in line with Ayn Rand's philosophy (which LaVey stole for "The Satanic Bible.") I just have a hard time reconciling that attitude with Jesus' injunction that those who live by the sword will perish by the sword. In case you're unfamiliar with that passage Bainreese, its in the Gospel of Matthew.
But then, I also have a hard time understanding how Christian Conservatives can idolize Rand and the politicians who tout her ideas when those same ideas were shamelessly recycled in "The Satanic Bible."
Sure, it might have been the lesser of two evils, THEN! Nowadays, women have rights of their own in about half of the world, and don't need the mercy of being sex toys. Could we please ditch this obsolete ancient myth book and make sure that ALL women have these rights, so that NO women need the become sex toys to survive? Please?
Btw; isn't it fornication if you do it with a concubine or a "domestic servant", or with your 697th wife?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
