A CHALLENGE TO THE MOST EDUCATED AND CAPABLE ATHEISTS

In the above article, I have proved that atheism did not have an earthly and human origin, but had its origin from satan before this state of time. Out of all the responses I have received from atheists, not one has been able to intelligently and credibly dispute that fact. They are confounded that they cannot come up with a human author and earthly time of existence for their atheism. They are quick to erroneously claim that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human, and some of them claim that Moses authored them, but they cannot name an earthly author and time of origin for their own philosophy.

Why are atheists so quick to try to attach a human to the TEN COMMANDMENTS when they cannot do so to their own philosophy? If Satan is not atheism's author and atheists cannot pinpoint a human author, perhaps their atheism came into being by a cataclysmic explosion. LOL! Or perhaps atheism brought itself into existence by its own prior nonexistence. LOL!

So I have two bold challenges for atheists: If satan is not the author of atheism, I hereby challenge the most educated and capable of them to prove that satan is not its author and prove that it had an earthly origin. I also challenge atheists to prove that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human. Before you try the latter impossibility, read my article titled: "God is the Author of the TEN COMMANDMENTS".

Yeah, standard fundie logic:

Make an arbitrary assertion.
Claim it's a proven fact.
Challenge others to disprove it.

"In the above article, I have proved that atheism did not have an earthly and human origin, but had its origin from satan before this state of time."

That would certainly be an incredible feat to achieve! Tell me, how did he overcome the whole problem of not existing in order to accomplish his devious plan?

"Out of all the responses I have received from atheists, not one has been able to intelligently and credibly dispute that fact."

Usually this stems from the source material not being intelligent or credible to begin with.

"They are confounded that they cannot come up with a human author and earthly time of existence for their atheism."

Well, since you're born an atheist I would say that atheism has existed far longer than any religion. There is no "human author" since atheism is not a religion, has no dogma, did not have a founder and does not have any leaders.

"They are quick to erroneously claim that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human, and some of them claim that Moses authored them, but they cannot name an earthly author and time of origin for their own philosophy."

There was no "author" you twit.

"Why are atheists so quick to try to attach a human to the TEN COMMANDMENTS when they cannot do so to their own philosophy?"

The Ten Commandments are a convoluted extension of common sense and the Golden Rule. It doesn't take a deity to come up with that.

"If Satan is not atheism's author and atheists cannot pinpoint a human author, perhaps their atheism came into being by a cataclysmic explosion."

*sigh*

"Or perhaps atheism brought itself into existence by its own prior nonexistence."

Well, I suppose you could put it that way. It wouldn't be wise to try it, but it could be done.

"So I have two bold challenges for atheists: If satan is not the author of atheism, I hereby challenge the most educated and capable of them to prove that satan is not its author and prove that it had an earthly origin."

Uh, the burden of evidence doesn't work that way. You're the one making the positive claim, you prove Satan was behind it all.

Start by showing he even exists. That should take you a good long while.

"I also challenge atheists to prove that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human."

Start by showing they are so profoundly outside of human convention that nobody could have come up with them without divine intervention.

"Before you try the latter impossibility, read my article titled: "God is the Author of the TEN COMMANDMENTS". "

I don't suppose you showed evidence of your unsupported assertion that your deity does, in fact, exist to being with, did you? I mean, if you didn't even do that you wasted your time typing up your article as it's all meaningless without it.

The article he has written does not prove anything (as expected). It's just another collection of bible quotes with the usual strange conclusions drawn from them. I would like to see Robert T Lee prove the existance of satan first. In fact, I would like Robert T Lee to prove anything at all.

If Satan even does exist, wouldn't he be the author of Satanism?

The really interesting thing about this guy is that at one point he defines atheists as people who know God exists but pretend not to in order to confuse everyone and then about three sentences later tells us that atheists do not know God exists!

I think he's a little bit confused, poor lamb.

But why would Satan found a body of thought that refutes the very existence of Satan?

It makes no sense whatsoever. Oh, wait.... it's Robert T Lee. No further explanation necessary.

12/6/2007 10:38:52 AM

TG Moxley

Uh...

1) Satan does not exist.
2) Things that do not exist cannot "author" philosophies.
3) Therefore, Satan is not the "author" of atheism.

I don't think the question demands a better answer than that, does it?

Saleem Sinai

The beauty of atheism is that most atheists are the author of their own disbelief. Unlike some of those who ascribe to religious dogma, we do not allow ancient superstitions and half-baked philosophies to lead us by the nose.

Did Satan also author my disbelief in Santa? Or was it the other way around?

12/6/2007 10:47:01 AM

As soon as you tell us what this book/text/set of principles is that atheists are supposed to follow, we'll tell you who wrote it. Otherwise, it's very difficult for anyone to have created a belief system that is primarily defined negatively (that is, the main point is that one *doesn't* believe in God).

**I realize that the OP will never see this, but I couldn't resist pulling apart this nonsense. When it's the usual "GOD EXESTS U HOMOZE" I can ignore it. But when this stupidity comes in the guise of rational intelligent discourse, I have to destroy it.

"A CHALLENGE TO THE MOST EDUCATED AND CAPABLE ATHEISTS

*Actually, you don't have to be either to shoot this idiocy down

In the above article, I have proved that atheism did not have an earthly and human origin, but had its origin from satan before this state of time.

*no you didn't. For someone to accept your "proof" they would have to accept your "given" that Satan and God exist. The very definition of Atheism is that neither do. When your "given" is flawed and skewed to give no other result than your own hypothesis, then your conclusion is also flawed.

Out of all the responses I have received from atheists, not one has been able to intelligently and credibly dispute that fact. They are confounded that they cannot come up with a human author and earthly time of existence for their atheism.

*Another flawed "given" is that Atheism "needs an author" You hypothesize that it is either Satan or a person. You claim that since no one has given you the name of a person, it must be Satan. This sort of inductive reasoning doesn't have much place in logic, just because no one can give you a name, doesn't mean there isn't one. However, your given is even more flawed in the fact that you assume there needs to be an "author" of Atheism. Atheism is not a doctrine or philosophy, but rather the lack of any specific nonsecular doctrine or philosophy. For example, a lot of socialists are also atheists, and on the flipside, all Objectivists are atheists. These two philosophies could not possibly be further removed from each other. Atheism is a trait of not believing in a god or gods, not a specific life-model.

They are quick to erroneously claim that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human,

*As there is no reason for an Atheist to believe otherwise...

and some of them claim that Moses authored them,

*And?

but they cannot name an earthly author and time of origin for their own philosophy.

*As I explained, Atheism is *not* a philosophy. It is the lack of acknowledgment of a deity. Atheists do not share a common philosophy, they share the lack of a specific philosophical trait.

Why are atheists so quick to try to attach a human to the TEN COMMANDMENTS when they cannot do so to their own philosophy?

* You already know the answer to this, but here it is: Because anything that is written must have an author, and since Atheists do not believe in deities, barring a visit from little green men, the ten commandments were written by a human. Atheism however does not follow any doctrines whether they are written, spoken or implied. Atheism is not a philosophy or religion, it is the lack of acknowledgment of a deity.

If Satan is not atheism's author and atheists cannot pinpoint a human author, perhaps their atheism came into being by a cataclysmic explosion.

*Atheism came into being the first time someone decided on a personal level that gods do not exist.

LOL!

*Glad to see you take this so seriously

Or perhaps atheism brought itself into existence by its own prior nonexistence.

*Well you don't know it, but you're half-right. Atheism was brought about by nonexistence. The nonexistence of god. But you seem to forget that Atheism does not "exist" in the way that you claim. It is not an object, it is a concept. All a concept needs to exist is to be conceptualized by a person's consciousness. Once someone says "There is no god(s)" in their own mind, Atheism as a concept exists.

LOL!

*I know, I find what you say funny as well. For a different reason though.

So I have two bold challenges for atheists: If satan is not the author of atheism, I hereby challenge the most educated and capable of them to prove that satan is not its author

*Atheists do not acknowledge Satan as being anything more than Fictional. Of course fictional characters *can* create concepts in the mind of a person by directly stating them. In this case, the concept came from the author who created the character. They can also create concepts in the mind of a person by inferring them, meaning that the person creates a concept by being "inspired" by a character. But the creator/author of that concept was the person who was inspired. Either way, a fictional character cannot create a concept. Since Christians work under the "given" that Satan is real, and Atheists work under the given that Satan is fictional, neither can prove anything to the other. I can't prove to you that Satan didn't create atheism because my statement that Satan does not exist is not a given you agree upon. You cannot prove to me that Satan did create atheism because your statement that Satan does exist is not a given I agree upon. For someone to prove a point to another person, they both need to agree upon a given. As an atheist, I will not and cannot agree with any given that states that Satan, God, Jesus, etc. are real beings. (In the case of Jesus, some atheists will acknowledge his existence but deny his divinity. This is important to note because this disagreement is the same logically as the disagreement over his very existence; for the purposes of a debate such as the one you propose.)

and prove that it had an earthly origin.

*From an atheistic standpoint, if it did not have an earthy origin, then it must have came from...aliens? It most likely did not. If an atheist works under your conditions, then they are not an atheist, because they would be acknowledging the existence of a god.

I also challenge atheists to prove that the TEN COMMANDMENTS were authored by a human.

*If not by a human, then by what? There is no god, remember?

Before you try the latter impossibility, read my article titled: "God is the Author of the TEN COMMANDMENTS". "

*It's an impossibility to prove it to someone who is a christian, just as it is impossible for your article to sway an atheist.

"Argument from ignorance": a logical fallacy in which it is claimed that a premise is true (Satan is the author of atheism; the Ten Commandments were authored by God) only because it has not been proven false.

Random Guy

Is there some reason why "TEN COMMANDMENTS" is always typed in all caps?

12/6/2007 11:13:21 AM

Why are atheists so quick to try to attach a human to the TEN COMMANDMENTS when they cannot do so to their own philosophy?

Sure I can. That person is called me. I never even heard of the word 'atheist' until I told my father that I didn't believe in a higher power and he presented it to me. Non-belief in a higher power was a concept which I ended up wrapping my brain around after much inward thought and reflection. I did not need to be indoctinated or preeched to in order to become atheist and neither do most atheists in general. So your attempt to trace it back to an originator is irrevelent as it's a very basic and unoriginal idea that keeps popping up in people's minds similar to how people keep thinking there needs to be a higher power and then creating various gods to fulfill their belief.

Wow, sounds like a fair challenge! And I'm sure he'll be completely open-minded about judging any submissions. I just know he won't, for example, reject them all (and subsequently trumpet his awsummmnesss at defeating Teh Ebil atheists) using reasoning that boils down to: I know God exists, my interpretation of a book I claim was written by God disagrees with wot u sed, therefore you are wrong.

You're confusing atheism with your bronze age myth. LOL!

If you are going to forward a challenge to an author and originator of atheism, then you need to provide an answer to the question of who was the author and originator of theism; not the Ten Commandments (without historical revisionism, please)?

In about 600 BC, in the Hebrew tradition, 'the satan' was an angel sent by God to obstruct human activity.

Therefore if atheism really was created by Satan, that's because God wants atheists to exist. And then if you don't want atheists to exist, you are going against God's will.

See you in hell, motherfucker!

Why do Fundies ALWAYS assume that "the other guys'" associations always work like Fundamentalist Christianity's do?

*) They claim that atheists have an agenda of garnering converts.
*) They claim that Atheism must have had an Author.
*) They claim that Atheism is a religion, and that Atheists worship something.
*) They claim that "Atheistic science" is a failure because its tenets change in response to evidence.
*) They even assume that morality and ethics can ONLY be enforced by the threat of divine punishment, so the Atheists must have some "other God" keeping them in line.

Sheesh! Try putting on the "no God" glasses just for a few seconds, why don'tcha?
