[About a science teacher that was forced to resign after mentioning a lecture critical of ID]
GOOD! Throw the bum out on the streets!
She has no business teaching kids about false and backwards ideas such as evolution, which Charles Darwin even said is impossible without God's power to guide it.

"evolution, which Charles Darwin even said is impossible without God's power to guide it."
Tell me again who is teaching false and backward ideas?
I think it is a lot more than 96%, unless you have a very broad definition of the term "scientific community." I don't see how anyone could possibly get any kind of advanced degree in science working under the assumption that the earth is 6,000 years old and the T-Rex ate coconuts.
Believe It!
Seriously Naruto Forums this is insane. Why do they keep this nut around? Is he like a mod or something?
Charles Darwin even said is impossible without God's power to guide it
This isn't even quote minning. This is flat out lying. In the Origin of Species Darwin acknowledges the idea that the eye is too complex to have evolved and must be designed. Most fundies stop here and are like "ZOMG DARWIN HAETS HIS THEORIZ". But then Darwin goes on for several pages and describes a possible lineage of how eyes could have evolved from simple light sensitive patches to complex lenses with muscles.
And guess what? HE WAS FUCKING RIGHT!
No he didn't, and the TEA should undergo rigorous evaluation by the federal government if forwarding emails relevant to education is a fireable (or analogue thereof) offense in that state. It truly sickens me that Intelligent Design is even a phrase people recognize, let alone the idea that someone could be forced to resign from an education post because they wished to inform others of how absurd it is.
which Charles Darwin even said is impossible without God's power to guide it.
Lieing will land you in hell.
Darwin's own daugther was there and disproved her, “I was present at his deathbed, Lady Hope was not present during his last illness, or any illness. I believe he never even saw her, but in any case she had no influence over him in any department of thought or belief. My father never recanted any of his scientific views, either then or earlier. I am upset that the U.S. Christians have fabricated this conversion nonsense. The whole story has no foundation whatever.”

interesting:
fundies obsess (mainly) over 2 things: evolution (and the whole creationism thing) and homosexuality.
They're now inventing an entirely new thesis: the ToE is backward and regressive, without any evidence; while their view is chock full of examples, and validated by a bible that is self-evidently true.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
