You keep him, Hardon.

If he's a democrat, than I'm an atheist, Bush-hating republican.

The Watcher

Uhh, no thanks. You can keep him.

11/20/2007 9:46:57 PM

As long as he attacks only gays, he's a God fearing Republican. Say anything about the 'War' on terror, he's a Democrat. You can't keep up with American politics even with a scoreboard.

Phelps is a Democrat because he registered and ran for office as a Democrat.

11/20/2007 9:58:41 PM

Phelps is a Dem, but a DINO (Democrat in Name Only).

11/20/2007 10:09:34 PM

It's not about Democrat or Republican, it's about liberal or conservative. Although they've switched parties, conservatives have always been the anti-freedom, anti-minority, anti-equality ones.

11/20/2007 10:14:45 PM

Yes he is a Democrat; he registered as one. And so what if he hates the military? I'm leftist and hate the military, but I'm NOTHING like him.

I would assume here is a person who, after seeing Democrats hand Bush deadline after deadline, assumes all Democrats hate the military.

11/20/2007 10:27:15 PM

I'm a Democrat, and I was in the military for almost 10 years. Somewhere, some fundie's head is exploding.

Brian X

So is Lyndon LaRouche. He's a fuckwit too.

11/20/2007 11:22:05 PM

I always considered Phelps to be a proud member of the Insane Psychotic Bastard Party.

11/20/2007 11:40:42 PM

The only thing that Phelps shares in common with the Democrats is a membership card, and I guarantee he despises them as much he does their opposition.

The Missus

Then I guess you're an atheist, Bush-hating Republican, AnonymousAsshole.

11/21/2007 1:01:05 AM

Wow - are you sure about that? Being that he's hate filled and hell bent on using the military to promote his own agenda, regardless of the cost to them --- Well really, that says Republican most of the time doesn't it?

11/21/2007 1:14:29 AM

And fags too, don't forget it. Well, and America, Ireland, Sweden............by the way, the Soviets loved he military, does it make them Republican?.

11/21/2007 6:14:35 AM

Mister Spak

George Bush and his supporters are republicans. They hate the military.

11/21/2007 6:21:50 AM

"Fred Phelps and his scrum are Democrats."

I didn't know he played Rugby! Huh!

11/21/2007 6:49:49 AM

Fuck you, he's yours!

11/21/2007 7:50:51 AM

He's probably only democrat because Bush hasn't declared homosexuality illegal yet, which can only mean that the republicans must be gays themselves.

That's always seemed to be his logic from what I've seen.

11/21/2007 11:08:55 AM

I'm glad I don't know Mr. Phlems.

I might be listed as a Democrat somewhere, too, if only because I wanted to vote in a primary election -- you can do so for only ONE party, not both. That doesn't make me a member of the party as far as I'm concerned, though.

Phelps ran for office once, and to do so he had to register as a member of some party (and surely found it better strategy to ally himself with an established party rather than create his own). But considering that he harangues them almost as much as anyone else, I'm sure his affiliation as a Democrat is no more than label-thickness deep. As for his "scrum," whatever that is, I don't think you can generalize political party according to whether the said group "hates the military" or not. And Democrats certainly don't have any platform against the military anyway -- the insinuation that they do is monstrously absurd.

Worst example of a false dichotomy I've ever seen.

Wow, that's devastatiung. Stay tuned for traffic and weather.

We don't want him, you can have him, he's too nuts for us.

rubber chicken

Which merely proves that the fundamental differences between Americas two parties are only ones of style.

11/28/2011 7:54:07 PM

Even though he agrees with the right on a few things. Especially homosexuality. And the right couldn't care less about the military except to play the patriot card
