Quote# 2775

Given the vast distances in space, the youth of the universe, the improbability of advanced life in the universe, the impossibility of traveling faster than light, the odds of a spaceship worm-holing it and landing on earth (of all the other gazillions of places) all cause me to view Ufo's crash landing here as virtually impossible even if 'theoretically possible'. If you think there is a parallel between that impossible Roswell alien nonsense and the historicity and Jesus of Nazareth, well, feel free to demonstrate it.

Meh-master

This doesn't sound fundy to me. Other than the "youth of the universe" and that's just questionable.

What does Jesus have to do with UFOs and Roswell? Both are possible, but I'd say Roswell has more in its favor than the so-called son of god.

Jesus never existed.
The babble is a forgery.
Vinnie is an idiot.
Deal with it.

Simple.

Both involve things that are scientifically impossible to our knowledge.
On the one hand we have miracles and raising oneself bodily from the dead after three days.
On the other we have aliens casually raping relativity and causality by travelling faster than light.

Unless by 'historicity of Jesus' you mean you believe there was a mortal non magical yet charismatic cult leader bouncing around the middle east at that time. In which case sure I'll go with that.

"the youth of the universe"

13.7 +/- 0.1 B years by multiple independent methods.

Deal with it shit-for-brains.

Home-grown supernatural events are no more probable than intergalactic ones.

Well for starters they both rely entirely on a combination of "I knew a guy who knew a guy" stories & claims of personal encounters with zero evidence to back them & more holes in them than Queen Chrysalis' legs. The only real difference is that we at least know space travel is doable a la our own employment of interplanetary craft to deploy satellites and rovers to the other planets of our solar system. You've yet to demonstrate magic of any kind.
