... I do wish that science would just quit. We have threats of nuclear war. If science wants to keep expanding, I'm gonna board a shuttle and get out of here! No, not really. There's too many souls to save.

Biting the hand that feeds you, eh?
Science will quit when we'll know exactly how everything works. 'How' is the operating word here. You see, spouting 'God did it' explains exactly fuck all in that respect. The human endeavor called science, that is, our curiosity (something we've been created with, by the way) merely wants to know how he did it .
How this knowledge is then applied is another matter altogether. Don't confuse them.
To get a seat on the shuttle, and you're not a pilot, you must be a scientist.
Try Noah's Space Ark. I hear they need people to shovel shit.
Right! As soon as you finish typing on your computer (made with science) you just take your car (made with science) and head out to the local spaceport, maybe saying goodbye to your friends over your cellphone (made with science). Then you can just hop on to a space shuttle (made with science for scientific purposes) and go to the Moon (observed, mapped and studied with science). But don't forget to take your medicine (made by science)!
While your asphyxiating up there because you didn't want to where a spacesuit that was made by science, we'll be having a great time down here with our household Robots, supercomputers, physical and mental enhancements and new cures for illnesses, all made by science.
Were it not for science in one form or another, we wouldn't have gotten as far as banging rocks together.

...so you'll go back to using a 286-based setup, MSDOS, and 14K/sec dialup, then? [/Quantum Mechanic]
Fuck me, but the Dell D630 I recently ordered via Amazon - to use as a spare laptop - for £84 was made in 2007 (and a year older than my current Dell 1525; 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo dual-core processor): yet, that older one has a 2.2 GHz dual core CPU.
Is your computer newer than both of mine, Americancock(IQ)6.1? Because if it is, then you've destroyed your entire argument: if it's an i3-based one at least, then it's precisely by science not quitting that you have that more advanced computer, OS, and telecommunications system to say that you wished science hadn't .
...but if you don't want your computer, I'll have it!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
