When somebody tells me that they do not believe that non-material explainations are valid, I allways ask them how they account for mankind's innate God-knowledge. This perception of God, and our ability to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is a great example of something that will never be explained by materialism.

Overwhelming evidence of what?, listen dude, it´s true that humans are inherently religious animals, ok. But it doesn´t mean that their relationship with God is the same at all levels and, in fact, the religious fact per se can be perfectly explained with worldly psychology and materialism. In fact, since you don´t go clubbing with Jesus, and you employ vague notions, your argument sinks.
Innate God-knowledge? I think it's more along the lines of over active imaginations, and an incredible willingness to swallow whatever lies make you most comfortable. As for the "innate" part, people are hit over the head with religion all of their lives. If people seem to have this knowledge from an early age, it's because others have been trying to indoctrinate them since almost as soon as they drew breath.

Ah yes, of course, Christianity does not rely on materials to preach its word, its all based on faith. They aren't so weak in their beliefs that they need some sort of tome to chronicle all of what they know to be true. They don't need a book telling them how to live their life!
Really? And how do they respond to your question, then?
I'm sorry, but there have been a number of different perfectly naturalic hypotheses about why human beings are so inclined to believe in gods. We may not be sure to what degree each of these explanations are true, but these explanations certainly exist. Some day, you are going to come across someone who knows this, so I highly advise that you try to come up with something that actually doesn't have a material explanation.
Prove that a rainbow doesn't physically exist, then.
