why is the town having problems with the best teacher to hit town in years!A PROUD AMERICAN IS 100 % RIGHT! the town has lost its way in the dark! and kearny IS IN ITS DARK DAYS! the very thing that our life and laws are made of is at risk! when god is left out of teaching in school the very way of life in the usa is at risk! thats just what UBL WANTS! the town folk NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND ASK GOD TO FORGIVE THE STUPID DUMB THINGS SOME FOLK ARE SAYING! this is a good time for kearny to " repent" for pushing god out of schools and every day life :wink:

No. My life, at least, seems to be based on facts. Yours may be based on ridiculous religious dogma, but not mine. Most of our laws are based on facts, too.

Fundies are so firmly rooted in their own fantasy (and in the power trip that comes with being the majority religion in this country) that they forget that the First Amendment protects them just as much as it protects everyone else!
If we were to teach religion in the schools, two things would happen: We wouldn't have time to teach anything else, and Christianity would get lost in the shuffle of all those other religions. So, since that would be bad from their standpoint as well as ours, they should support the First Amendment at least as much as anyone else if not more so!
