[Regarding an atack on TalkOrigins' servers.]
Maybe it was God?

Four little words, that must have been said countless times in countless dialects since the dawn of mind itself. I wonder how civilisation might have turned out if the notion of god never arose, and people had to actually think about the unknown instead of writing it off and not worrying about it.
I can see God sitting there in his dark bedroom, the computer illuminating his greasy, pimply face and unkempt white beard, wearing a black Linkin Park t-shirt and giggling as he hacks into TalkOrigins.
"lol, learn2firewall n00bs!"
God and "Denial of Service"... I can see the connection.
So he's gone from, Old Testament toddler tantrums to hiding in his room for a few millennia and now some fuckwit bought an adolescent God a PC and he's trying to hack into the internet.
Shit, he'll be able to vote soon and we'll really be in trouble!
I'd love the hear the thought process in God's head:
"Swarm of locusts, Angel of Death, erm no... I know... Yes, I've got it! I'll crash their server!"
And a visit from the cops? :P He may be forced to change his screenname to "mom" after the long honeymoon at Greybars Hotel, though.
Either God's priorities are sadly out of whack, or Dad is a dumbass. Guess which assumption I'm leaning towards?
Personally I'd say that the priorities dad the dumbass assigns to his imaginary friend are out of whack.
Dictionary defintions:
GOD: an imaginary, unprovable, yet universally accepted invisible man who is responsibile for every unimportant "MIRACLE" that has ever occurred, no matter how pedestrian or ridicules, except for the ones attributed to 'Satan'.

Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that God doesn't have enough to do managing hundreds of billions of galaxies, each of which has hundreds of millions of stars? He's so bored he has to kill time by attacking servers?
Also, if God did - for some inscrutable reason - decide to attack servers, I think there are more offensive sites he'd go after.
Judging by God's rap sheet, he has committed multiple genocides, mass torture, inhuman levels of cruelty, and rape (among many other similar things). Hacking is fairly non-violent, and doesn't seem to fit the trend.
Confused?
