[Is heaven on top of the big cloud made of gold?]
No, it is on top of earth, and is about the size of the moon. An interesting fact is that this moon sized object of gold will land on earth. If a moon tried it now, gravity would exist, and we would be wiped out good and proper. Heavens, imagine the tides even?! That means that gravity, as we know it, just will not apply. Neither of course will decay.
Our present state of the universe, and laws of physics will be no more. That is real science 101.

Didn't we already have this one? Or is it from a thread that was previously visited by other FSTDT'ers?
Anyway, if the moon sized object of gold (which is transparant according to dad) is "on top of the Earth", why have we failed to detect it so far? And what use would it be to make such a huge construction of gold? The only good quality of gold is that it is visually pleasing, and the value comes from it's relative rarity on Earh. So making it transparent and adding a huge quantity of it makes it no better than glass.
Would you like living in a glass world?
"That is real science 101."
<dies laughing>
Oh, and Hadanelith, while gold does make a good conductor, it's only really valuable and trusted as currency because it's hard to get hold of and hence impossible to forge, respectively.
If a moon-sized amount of the fucking stuff became available, without the need to dig it out of crushing depths of rock and expend vast amounts of energy isolating it in pure amounts, gold would rapidly become as cheap as dirt.

Now that would be an interesting fact, except that it is NOT a FACT.
"If a moon tried it now,"
The moon is inanimate, and, therefore, does not "try" anything.
"gravity would exist,"
Excuse me, but gravity DOES exist.
"and we would be wiped out good and proper."
Exactly what would be "good" and/or "proper" about the human race being wiped out?
"Heavens, imagine the tides even?!"
Zounds!, Scooby.
"That means that gravity, as we know it, just will not apply."
If you have to eliminate gravity on earth to make your scenario work, you should probably rethink your scenario.
"Neither of course will decay."
Ditto for decay.

No, that's a wild, un-supported, junk story you pulled out of your ass. It has nothing to do with science.
His chronology and tenses've gone all funny (I'm not even attempting to analyse the logic, my eyes are bleeding). It will land, it can't do it now though, but gravity won't exist? Do moon's try anything? At the risk of bursting his fragile little logic-bubble, gravity already exists, without any attempts at terrestrial landing by gold moons.
No...hang on...heaven is an object of gold? Christ, I hope it's hollow.
Silly dad. Is there anything you don't not understand?
As an aside. This guy is a headcase in the truest sense. Ask him about the "previous state past" and he'll talk forever about the silliest nonsense you've ever heard.
Just when you think they can't possibly get any more stupid, someone comes along and sets a new record.
> An interesting fact is that this moon sized object of gold will land on earth.
Depends how fast it's currently travelling and in what direction. But given that a moon-sized object of gold would have a mass of four or five times that of our real moon, if it's anywhere within about two million miles of the earth it really would fuck with the tides. And the moon.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
