IF ONLY THIS WAS SCIENCE FICTION!
Yes, thank you for being scientifically accurate. As disturbing as it may be for some people to think they evolved from a common ancestor as apes, it's still true.
And the Church Lady says, " Well, isn't that special?"
And you are quite right. That humans and apes are related is not science fiction, no matter how much you try to imagine it is.
Well, I would phrase it "Planet of the humans who ACCEPT that they're related to apes," but it is essenially true.
Of course, the last line needs to be modified too. "If only the religious knew that" works for me.
Well, in that case, refuse to be treated with anti-biotics. They have been tested on apes, and if they were not related to us, you´d be dead.
Looks like someone has learned to use Photoshop.
And badly.
Yeah, but the fundies always take it to mean that humanity descended from modern apes. They claim that the ToE says that chimps and gorillas are our direct great-great-great.....great-grandparents, when they are actually our distant cousins (or not so distant, when you look at Chimpy George).
Just how far up the taxonomy does this guy's denial go.
He already denies that humans are apes, primates with little or no tails.
Does he also deny that humans are primates, mammals with good eyes and hands.
Maybe humans are not even placental mammals, warm blooded vertebrates who bear our young alive.
Would he deny that we are vertebrates, animals with a backbone?
Perhaps we are not even animals.
Exactly -- it's NOT science fiction, but actual science. (And agreed, Papbear: "accept" is more accurate.)
"PLANET OF THE people who refuse to accept that they are related to APES! If only this were recognized as a fantasy!"

the earth is not a planet -_-a ?:(
Wait, what?
Wait, what?
lol, I said that to be funny and to try to get on FSTDT for once in a really long time.
But ya, I choose the earth as a frame of reference in the universe. Of course, I could choose just about anything in the universe as a frame of reference, but I choose the earth for religious reasons.
From wikipedia : "The geocentrists that are closest to the scientific mainstream accept essentially all the observations of the mainstream. They point to the theory of general relativity, which says that all physical phenomena can be described and explained self-consistently in any frame of reference. Since the current state of physics does not single out the geocentric frame of reference as special in any way, this group claims the geocentric frame is special for alternative religious reasons."
This is unfalsifiable and hence, unscientific.
Though, if I do find evidence for the earth being the only possible frame of reference, I will cling to that, for now though, I cling to the theory of special relativity.
whatever.
The bible, for me, is a priori assumption.
Well kid, at least it's a step up.
What do you mean?
Did you write that sourceless shit in wikipedia Richard?

Cycloidal motion in planetary orbits is physically impossible - it defies everything Sir Isaac Newton and Johannes Kepler proved, especially when planets start moving clockwise instead of anticlockwise and vice versa.
Stop being a retard!
What the fuck's next, "Gravity's only a theory"?

Add my posts to FSTDT.
Btw, are you equating geocentricity with the ptolemy model?
I'm sorry but I don't understand the graph. But from the file name is ptolemy.gif...
Can you explain your epycycles and stuff, or link me to someplace where I can learn about it?
Just so you know, no geocentrist sticks to the ptolemy model.

Nice edit Fuckwit - if you change your post add a new comment instead so it bumps up the latest comments, I would've missed this if it hadn't been for Anthony! They're called epicycles. That was also the last time anyone believed in geocentricity, with time they were found to be vastly insufficient.
It's all about the distance of the planets from Earth. For instance Mars varies between 55 million kilometres and 400 million kilometres.
Go have a looky here on how the Earth and Mars interacted recently and how this is physically possible in a heliocentric universe and physically impossible in a geocentric one! Pretty squiggles!

When you're done, we'll have a chat about the absurdity of an object 300,000 times heavier apparently orbiting round something 300,000 times lighter.

We don't believe this, we believe in an ether that carries the heavenly bodies around the earth, not that the earth has enough gravitationnal pull to carry the sun.
We also use the Modofied Tycho Brahe model. The ptolemy model is obsolete trash, please stop bringing it up.

Well, how advanced and enlightened of you.
(*snort*) BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh, I just knew I couldn't say that with a straight face!

There is honestly nothing you can say to counter my "earth frame of reference" position, since we can choose anywhere or anything in the universe as a frame of reference.
Usually, when I see some funny fundy posts, I laugh, just like you guys do, but my posts just don't seem that funny...
modofied? WTF!
Well please enlighten us to what this model is you twat, I try not to google idiocy. Your phrasing should be spectacular.
I hope you haven't just swapped the Earth and the sun around, that'd be too pathetic for words... (and if it's that bollocks about everything else in the solar system orbits the sun, but the sun orbits the Earth, I'm going to absolutely piss myself laughing.)

You have created a straw man, any learned person will tell you that any frame of reference in the universe can be used.
Modified Tycho Brahe = "(and if it's that bollocks about everything else in the solar system orbits the sun, but the sun orbits the Earth, I'm going to absolutely piss myself laughing.)"

*wipes away tears*
Oh, thanks Dick, that's just made my day!!!! Oh superb! Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!
OK, so let's see.
* When you jump, you're not actually jumping, you're pushing the Earth away from you.
* I'm not actually assaulting you, you're choosing to repeatedly impact my fist with your face.
Look idiot, Einstein's twin paradox is not a paradox, it has a solution, and no, the twin in the ship is not the one that ages quicker. The Sun does NOT orbit the Earth.
So cute though! Absolutely precious!
Humans aren't just related. We ARE apes. Upright, inbred, mutant, balding apes, but apes nonetheless. And no, this knowledge does NOT make me run around raping, robbing and killing.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
