But as for the severely retarded, isn't it obvious that a compassionate Creator has this problem covered as well? Of course that person will be in heaven! His affliction on earth is a perfect opportunity for believers to show patience and love, and God sees how we treat them. So that unfortunate person is actually a blessing to us AND he will be rewarded by God with a perfect mind and brand new body in heaven. Our God makes perfect sense in every situation. Just a side thought: Funny how the world loves to harp on how tragic a temporary earthly condition like retardation is {or terminal disease, serious accident, etc}, but it refuses to acknowledge the glorious eternal life God has prepared when this life is over. We can choose to have hope or choose to wallow in self pity. The bible says most will choose the self pity of disbelief. That blows me away, considering there is SO MUCH to look forward to. What a stupid waste of humanity.
