[OP of "What are the chances of Russia and China coming to Venezuela's aid militarily to defend it from the imperialists?"]

Will they let the US invade?

And since the USSR turned out not to be the antichrist, and it wasn't Clinton or Obama,
is it Venezuela?

Why did this get submitted?

If they did intervene, it would be solely to weaken American influence, pretty much the reason Russia supported Trump to begin with. China is communist in name only, and Russia is pretty right wing now.

Sad news, tovarisch, the USSR was imperialist as fuck, and as much as I hated the feudal system under tyrannical, disconnected Lamas, they were still imperialist'd under Mao. So... you're fucked.

There are, apparently, already Russian mercenaries in Venezuela, though they seem to be there to protect Russian assets rather than the government. The Chinese are owed a lot of money by Venezuela, but that hardly seems a reason to intervene, especially if Guaidó can provide sufficient assurances that Russian and Chinese investments will be protected if Maduro falls.

As for "imperialism," have you looked at the extent of Cuban penetration into Venezuela in everything from the economy to the secret police?

Given Chavez and Maduro make Ulbricht and Honecker look competent, I bet some Chinese businessmen are thinking their investments would be safer with Guaido, especially if the present situation makes investing in a farm in Zimbabwe look like a good idea.

The US will just sit back and watch. It doesn't have to do anything.
