There is a difference between denominations in Christianity and cults. Those who do not believe that Jesus is God are cults.

There is a difference between religious denominations and cults, yes. There's a fine and somewhat fuzzy line, but there is a line somewhere. I'd say the difference is mainly the size and the devotion to the earthly leader. A small group with a strong leader who is seen as more or less divine is a cult, while a larger group with several leaders who are just messengers for the Divine Ones is a denomination. When Christianity started out, it was a cult, but grew in time into a religion with many, many, many, MANY denominations.
Believing Jesus is God has nothing to do with it, either way. I don't believe Jesus is God, but I'm not a cult. I don't believe that any of them exists, but IF they do, I'm leaning towards Jesus being the Son of God, or the Prophet, or "God 2.0: The Nice One", not that they are one and the same.
There are numerous rules differentiating a religious cult from a religion freely chosen, but the acid test is whether or not it advocates or enforces cutting off friends or family who leave.
Some Christian denominations do qualify, e.g. Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, a percentage of the Baptists, sometimes the Catholics.
Yeah. I'm sure that's the Webster definition of cult. A definition that specifically discludes your favored brand of religious lunacy, but also includes everything else, even things that don't fit the definition, like atheists.
You know who else doesn't think Jesus is God? All Jews and most of the early Christians. Also animals. Also newborns. Basically every single thing outside of your narrow brand of Christianity.
You know who else didn't think Jesus was God? Jesus himself.
LDSer Don Bluth directed "An American Tail": an animated film about Jewish mice produced by Steven Spielberg.
Jews don't believe your J-boy is their God. So many of your Christain ilk 'Support Israel'.
Is the capital of Israel Tel Aviv? The likes of Don Bluth acknowledge your J-boy as part of what Ruptured Retards regard as a 'Modern Cult & Religion': yet, in 2012 they fully supported Mitt 'Magic Pants' Romney.
Are you seeing any differences here edwitl ess, because I'm not.
From where I'm standing, seems that the US isn't the 'Christian' country you claim it is. Are Catholics Christian? They acknowledge you J-boy: just like the LDS-supporting Raptards who say that Romney the Mor(m)on is so not a 'RINO' after 2012.
Confused?
