In this fictional account,a skeptic watches a show theorizing about the origin of life on Earth.

Theorist The moon's craters are a uniform depth, like the soil is layered over a metal shell. Impact studies record a bell-like resonance. Could the moon be a hollow sphere serving as a UFO base?

Skeptic Oh, brother.

Theorist Air shafts in the Great Pyramid align with three stars in the Orion system. Perhaps the pharaohs used them as astral portals for their souls to return home.

Skeptic And if they pointed at Planet Ultron, then that would be our origin point.

Theorist Throughout history, legends speak of someone who placed us here, is watching us, and will someday return.

Skeptic That sounds kind of familiar. . . .

Theorist Seven nations have a treaty concerning the south pole, where planes are not permitted to fly over. Could it be a stopover for our alien overseers in the moon?

Skeptic This guy has nothing but questions. How about some answers?

Theorist Legends abound about the Council of Nine. There were nine major gods on Olympus. Could these have been psychic counselors from beyond the stars?

Skeptic They can believe this nonsense, but not the Bible?

Theorist The moon is the perfect size and distance to make life possible on Earth. It may have been brought here by our extraterrestrial forefathers.

Skeptic Okay, that's enough of that. [Turns off TV, gets car keys.] I need to see a church pastor.
