The only fact that you brought up thats might be true is that the schoolgirl uniform is a popular fetish, but thats more about living out your adolescent fantasies with someone your attracted to now I imagine then actually being into children.
Ya know, most laws in history have been made by men. If all men were rapists then rape would be legal. The prohibitions on it would be property laws instead.

You're both right on about the schoolgirl thing. In fact, I think a lot of sexual fantasies or kinks or whatever you wanna call them are like that; it's about the fantasy, not actual reality. Like rape/non-consensual fantasies - no one in their right mind would want to be ACTUALLY raped or ACTUALLY rape somebody, but some like to PRETEND they're doing those kind of things.
Incidentally, it's more cheerleaders than schoolgirls with me. I never went to a school where everybody wore uniforms, but oh man, as a 12/13-year old, did I love my junior high's cheerleader uniforms. And that's not even necessarily a "young girl" thing, because there are adult cheerleaders too, after all. (trying to not make myself sound TOO creepy here....lol)

Some early rape laws were property laws that only applied if the girl were a virgin. There are quite a few historical eras in which an upper class man had carte blanche to rape women of lower classes in fact if not in law. I would also argue that in actual practice rape laws have been about certain conceptions of rape rather than the actual rape that happens. If there weren't some conception of virtuous womanhood still at play, we wouldn't still be seeing "she was asking for it." defenses.

Putting my perversion out there: I like hentai. Sometimes I even like really freaking weird hentai, with tentacles and two-dicked hermaphrodite monsters because damned if the narratives they fit that insanity into aren't sometimes completely hilarious. Sometimes the content gets dark and dramatic, portraying things like rape and obsession. And yes sometimes a character pops up that I'm pretty sure is not supposed to be the legal age. Those last two make me uncomfortable personally but it's a weirdly compelling discomfort in a fantastical setting that is capable of drawing me in rather than filling me with the intense visceral disgust of catching the barest hint of that happening in the real world. "Adore" is definitely not the right word, however, and apart from that strange rush people get from pushing boundaries or encroaching on taboos it might have that weird allure for the same reason horror movies and haunted houses have appeal.
The key thing is those are fantasies. There isn't tangible harm being done to anyone and it's not encouraging it either. (Well, there are one or two that actually seem to glorify or romanticize some pretty evil shit but those wig me right out.) There isn't a real person being hurt, feeling fear, getting taken advantage of, ending up scarred and irrevocably changed. It isn't something so shallow as the absence of consequence that creates that sharp divide in how I respond. I wouldn't watch explosions and gunfire on the news and feel the same rush as if I'm watching an action flick and anyone who would is completely insane and a monster. The same is true of porn.
Now that my hearty defense of pornography is out of the way and we've established I am indeed something of a pervert I can confidently say this: I would not involve myself with a real world "loli" because for one thing I have no attraction to underaged girls even finding it a little difficult to understand why anyone would and for another I'm completely aware that such a "relationship" is inherently unequal, harmful, and exploitative. The thought of doing that to someone makes me physically ill. The thought of standing by while it happens to someone else also sickens me. If I were propositioned suddenly by a young girl my first thought would be that something was horribly wrong or that she was about to make a serious mistake I would need to talk her out of. There are those who "reason" that the damage is done and they might as well have their fun but I do not share in that depraved view and consider their base desire to push responsibility off of themselves to be disqualifying when it comes to them calling themselves men.
The problem is those kinds of sick sad bastards try to normalize themselves, aggressively push that limiting them in any way is an attack on men as a whole. And men in power feed that sentiment because they simply no longer recognize the impact they have on others as significant and have become incapable of seeing what makes their actions wrong. Unfortunately it has become plain to see in modern times the power of manufacturing collective victimhood to undermine individual rationality which is only fed by your insistence on collective culpability and mirrored gender-based biases.
