US is the proof of that. The left managed to win the demographic battle there - if the country hadn't gone from 90% to 65% white since 1965 it would a one party country with Republicans running pretty much every single legislature.

@Malingspann : It would be, for everyone who wasn't an ultra-rich white man. On one hand, this has been the case for all of history until very recently. On the other hand, most regimes don't buy into an ideology that prescribes punishment for poverty, or womanhood.

Actually, bubba, your premise is incorrect. Without a steady stream of immigrants, your side is doomed. Many immigrants, especially Hispanic people, are religious & without them, your churches will wither & die. Without your worthless churches to prop it up, your beloved GOP will follow suit. By dehumanizing & excluding your own potential voters, you've chosen to politically & socially slit your own throats. And I couldn't be happier.

How do you explain that Trump, with his immigrant grandparents, his immigrant mother, his two immigrant wives, his Jewish minority son-in-law, root for the Republicans? With your "logic", he ought to be as left as they come.

And the Right won't drop 'immigration' because it's become one of those code words. Look at all the posts on conservative sites about how the white settlers are NOT immigrants, because (various arguments, like 'they built a nation' or 'they were organized')...
In essence, they're not immigrants because they're white. The 'immigration' issue is about dark skinned people coming into a nation that should be a white sanctuary.
