I also think it's a total travesty that we pay the oil-producing states on the Persian Gulf money for their oil. Mostly they use that money to subsidise their populations into obesity and uselessness, vanity projects, and terrorist financing. Ideally we should have reacted to the 1973 OPEC embargo with a full invasion and annexation followed, if necessary for the security of the oil production from guerilla activities, by ethnic cleansing.

Most of the people here seem to want to be somewhat isolationist and respect foreign sovereignty, but I think imperialism is completely worth it, at least over absurdly valuable areas like the Persian Gulf. It's completely absurd to pay so much money to people when you could just conquer them and take it for free. Unless of course their civilisation is worthwhile, but it's not.
