It's not about the society imo,it's about the fact that this man failed at being a human.That's why he is a burden.An elephant survives because he is good at being an elephant,mongooses and bears survives because they are good at hunting things and that makes them good at being hunters.This mum,if she doesn't give her son away any time soon,it will became crazy to the point of suicide.
