I don't think this one counts as fundie. The OT does call homosexual acts an abomination punishable by death, after all. As for the question, that seems like a valid question to ask. I know it is in Christianity due to that "thinking about it counts as doing it" crap. Don't recall anything like that for Jews or Muslims, though I'm less familiar with the latter's texts.
David & Jonathan . There not being word one of condemnation in that part of Scripture.
Therefore homosexuality isn't a sin.
Lying is a sin. But that's exactly what your 'God' did, re. Abraham & Isaac.
Enjoy your paradox.
Nope. And if your "Lord" really wants to condemn some people just because of what He, presumably, made them to be , then He is an abomination unworthy of worship.
With just a few exceptions (murder or stealing, for example) the things you call "sins" are random things you think your god, for some reason, just doesn't want you to do. There's no reason on earth why Sunday or Saturday are holy or special, other than divine pronouncement. There's no reason on earth why a person should not create a graven image, other than divine pronouncement. There's no reason on earth why a person can't marry someone outside their faith, other than divine pronouncement.
Confused?
