I was just today trying to explain to my 90 year old Aunt on what is happening with Professional Sports today in regard to it veering left in so many things.
She used to be a big Cowboys fan and I informed her today we won't be watching much pro football this season, if any.

This morning I read that the St. Louis Cardinals intend to have a trans-gender person throwing out the first pitch next week on “Pride Night” at Busch Stadium and now I read of “Pride” whatever for the NFL.

Lets face it professional sports must want to alienate their fan base to appease a small group of people.

When I was growing up I lived for the NFL and AFL football on Sunday's. My father and I loved it and when Monday Night Football came in we loved that too.

That being said, Dad died last December and my football enthusiasm kind of died with him. Add to that the games are way too long, too many DAMN commercials, too many replays, too many penalties challenged, too many games on, too much Politics being injected into the game, and Leftist Politics at that.

So, as many of you, I have had my fill of all of it. There is only so much the NFL, MLB, etc. can try to force down your throat and I think that moment has arrived.

I am tired of the disrespect to our country, our Flag, and our way of life by overpaid morons, who if they could not play football, would be lucky to be Ditch Diggers.

My personal feeling is that ratings and viewership for the product of the NFL will down again this year, hopefully markedly so. They won't be able to blame it on the election like last year.

If it becomes a trend then guess what the values of all those franchises start going down and the next TV contracts will go for less money. Peak NFL has happened.
