How many years AFTER the Civil War was that bullshit made up? 50? 60?
Because that's the battle flag of Virginia, not the flag of the Confederacy. The ones who started waving the battle flag of Virginia around to represent "the South", BTW, were the KKK...
"We are united in treason against the United States of America, because they want us not to own people."
At the end of the war, your ancestors went back to being slaves of poverty and slaves of ignorance and slaves of hatred, losers, one and all.
"They said the same thing about the flag of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging?"
Oh yeah, the one that only "coincidentally" resembled the Nazi flag....

Yup, Andrew must have been a VERY common name in AD30 Middle East... Oh, it's supposed to be Andreas? Well, that makes more sense.
Fighting for the right to own other people is NOT fighting for liberty, it's fighting for oppression.
So why isn't it still a blue background: with a white cross...?!
You Alt-Shitists - along with White Supremacists & neo-Nazis - are all hypocritical race traitors. So why are you all complaining about the removal of something which betrays it's origins, nay, everything you lot stand for: if it's completely different...?!
Why did so many Scots vote in a certain referendum to Remain: in the Union ...?! :

Kinda make a mockery of another referendum which came after that. [/UKRAP]
Certainly destroys your entire argument.
Dunno about right-wing author, blogger, social commentator & satirist PJ O'Rourke, but his British equivalent Jeremy Clarkson says that the above is the most beautiful flag he's seen. Especially with all it's representational elements kept together since all those True Scotsmen chose wisely a few years ago.
Especially the blue background and white cross of St Andrew.
I'm gonna go with The Oatmeal's definition of it:
"A sticker you put on the back of your pickup truck to announce that you intend to marry your sister. Think of it as a white trash Save The Date card."
Confused?
