Spencer and the unknown woman are both going about it the wrong way.
Really, its not about proving that your race is the best race. Its not about winning any culture war or favors. Everybody who has that kind of attitude ultimately loses because they have provided fodder for their opponents to use against everybody of the race you're trying to defend.
So, instead of crediting only non-whites for technological and scientific achievements, let's credit everybody by not erasing white contributions but also increasing acknowledgement and appreciation for non-white contributions. Fairness means not giving anybody elevated treatment on the basis of race but rather on the basis of merit, so let's work on that instead of doing what amounts to an erasure flip.

I'm not so sure. She recites several widespread pseudohistorical theories, such as that Moors taught Europeans to bathe, along with other patently false ideas such as that Africans brought writing to Europe. Her talk smacks of black supremacism and historical revisionism.
Just because her opponent is a white supremacist doesn't mean she's necessarily right, either.
And yet for all their superiority, the African kingdoms didn't last any longer than their European counterparts.
You can't trade a centrism for a centrism and gain anything.
Confused?
