The Church of England have clergy peers in the House of Lords.
The fact that they, a few years ago, dropped their opposition to S-SM: thus the 2013 Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Act was rubber-stamped by MPs in the House of Commons. Was in the Queen's Speech. Ergo, was entered into the statute book & became the law of the land. PROTIP: Romans 13:1-5.
The fact that the C-of-E's King James Bible - that monarch being a past head of such: as Queen Elizabeth II is today - being authorised by someone who was as gay as they come, should explain why they ultimately didn't oppose such in Parliament: even though they have some political power; they could have delayed it as long as possible; filibustered it, if not completely banned such altogether. The fact that one word: Hypocrisy, springs to mind, should give you a clue as to why they dropped their opposition to it.
And considering this issue: so-called 'Conversion Therapy', and why the Church of England want such banned here in the UK - coupled with the above facts - do I need to draw a cute picture to help you understand this?!
@Doubting Thomas
I'm really having trouble trying to understand how allowing people to have gender reassignment surgery will lead to the Fourth Reich
That's what we've been trying to get Conservatroll to explain all along. And seeing as he's done another of his His4Life-esque disappearing acts - after having his arse handed to him Bill Nye-esque by everyone - he either can't, won't: or daren't.
But isn't that what the likes of Conservatroll wants all along: "The Man in the High Castle" becoming a documentary: all those genderfluid people in Hugo Boss uniforms being dominant, tickling his interest glands...?!
And considering this issue II, by Pauliepoos - a.k.a. Conservatroll, a.k.a. Nameless Coward, a.k.a. Aunty-FSTDT:

A question requiring a simple 'Yes' or 'No' answer: Have you ever had any Gay Impulses, Aunty-FSTDT?
@Aunty-FSTDT
One time Moose. It doesn't count. It was one time

@Anti-FSTDT
So you're bisexual
@KingOfRhye
Yeah, Anti, it is something worth discussing, anal sex has health risks. Do you think, like afchief does, that that's a reason to deny homosexuals rights???
Not to mention that despite what he says, straight people do engage in it
@Thinking Allowed
@ Anri-FSTDT
Dude...you're bi. There's nothing wrong being attracted to both sexes. You never know, the love of your life may be waiting in the men's locker room at your local gym

By the way, interesting how Auntie has made this a discussion off-limits. >:D
...one doesn't need to be Freud to figure him out, eh?! [/Duckturd Dumb: rabid rightist homophobe who outed himself]
The facts always offend: You, o Nameless Coward.
Conservatroll = afchuff/o Boner/Amess Moron/Roycie/everyone else on Christian News Network with Dunning-Kruger. Also, a Closet Case more Armoured than Fort Knox.
It's okay, Nameless Coward: being LGBT is legal nowadays. [/Log Cabin Republicans]
