Lady Checkmate:
Not surprised and I'm happy Christians are speaking up about the blatant double standards, i.e., persecution.
BJ:
But they can force students to recite Islamic indoctrination?!
Lady Checkmate:
There's not much more evil than Islam...a text that actually promotes murders and slaughters, smh. They have exchanged the truth for a lie.

This is too easy.
a text that actually promotes murders and slaughters
So does the bible.
Next!
This is a dangerous deception that will drive idiots to pull their kids from public school and condemn them to chartered indoctrination. The lie, spread wide now, that they won't allow even a private prayer or mention of the Bible but they'll force your children into Islamic doctrine.
Absolute BULLSHIT.

Have you ever read your Bible? Or history?
How does a school recite a prayer?
You ought to use a more reliable source than Faux News, honey. Faux News is barely a step up from News of the World.
As far as I know, US schools are not allowed to make the pupils recite prayers for ANY religion. The pupils themselves are free to recite whatever prayer they want, as long as they don't disrupt class. And, as your savior told you in no uncertain terms to PRAY IN PRIVATE, that ought not to be a problem.
(Semantics, but should you really want the kids to recite prayers? Shouldn't prayers come from the heart, rather than a flat droning from memory?)
Ever read your Bible, lady?
1 Samuel 15:3
Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.
God not only promote murders and slaughters; he outright ORDERS them. Muslims worship the same god as you do, honey; the Abrahamic God/Allah/YHWY. If it's a lie, you've swallowed it too.
Judging by the article, the student was attending a public school, therefor the school district was right. They did not violate her rights to believe what she wanted. However they cannot sanction her to lead prayer because that does violate the rules.
Confused?
