The Judicial Branch needs the Executive. They're not dictators. When will they figure that out? We're not a country with a three-part government that depends on checks and balances to function. We have have the Executive branch with two equally subservient branches bellow it.

That's not the way it works and basically thats the trouble of it, isn't it? Some conservatives will bellow about what the Constitution really says, but they don't want to accept the consequences of the system that involves a SCOTUS with the power to interpret that constitution if the result isn't to their liking. However they can't have one without the other.

you greatly underestimate the hatred conservatives have for this country free conservatives, then yeah, these people are really out there, but I wouldn't classify a group as large as "conservatives" as hating the country. Anyone who makes a claim like in the post is a neo-conservative at the least, most likely a nationalist, and a fascist at the most. A real conservative would immediately recognize that this is unquestionably un-constitutional, and screams "big government" to them. Unfortunately, such people no longer seem to have control of the right wing in the U.S.

If you even bothered with civics class you would have noticed that the Legislative branch, not the Executive, is established by Article I of the Constitution. And if you paid especially close attention you would have noticed that originally, the executive was appointed not by direct public elections (in fact, he still isn't technically - the public votes for electors who have pledged their vote to a certain candidate) - in fact, according to Wikipedia, until 1860, at least one state Legislature (South Carolina's) directly appointed electors (as they are permitted to do by the Constitution), and the Federalist Papers suggested that most Presidents would be chosen by the House (as is the case should a candidate fail to receive a majority). Also, Congress alone has the power to remove the President, VP, or Supreme Court members from office.
