According to many evolutionists today, dinosaurs are really not extinct but rather are feeding at our bird feeders even as we speak. For many evolutionists, it would seem, birds simply are dinosaurs. With this sort of bias, it is quite easy for evolutionists to find supposed evidence to support the notion that birds evolved from dinosaurs.
But what does the Bible tell us about the origin of birds, and just how good is the scientific evidence that some dinosaurs evolved into birds?

Actually, it went the other way. First the evidence was found and then the conclusion, that birds evolved from a type of dinosaur, followed.
If new evidence is discovered, or a better explanation for the existing evidence is developed, that says birds didn't really evolve from dinosaurs, we'll simply move the class Aves out of the clade Dinosauria.

These two things are oddly juxtaposed. You demand "scientific evidence" (which we have, lots of it) for the evolution of dinosaurs, but you don't have the same skepticism toward an old book of mythology. First prove that the bible has anything meaningful to say about birds, or about anything at all. By "prove" I mean "provide actual objective evidence" that the bible describes physical facts. Then you can use it for a reference...but oops, we find that the bible doesn't actually have any dinosaurs in it, so never mind.

Well we actually have evidence so infinitely better .
birds simply are dinosaurs.
Birds aren't dinosaurs, they are the descendants of dinosaurs.
But what does the Bible tell us about the origin of birds
Who cares? The bible doesn't have any bearing on science, nor does any other ancient book of superstition.
just how good is the scientific evidence that some dinosaurs evolved into birds?
Extremely good, if only you fundies wouldn't keep ignoring it because it makes you uncomfortable.
@Thomas: cladistically, all descendants of a group are usually considered to still be members of that group, however far derived. hence, humans are apes which are mammals which are quadrupeds which are vertebrates, etcetera; and avians are dinosaurs which are quadrupeds, and vertebrates, and so forth.
"But what does the Bible tell us about the origin of birds..."
Nothing useful.
(It can't even get the fact that bats aren't bugs birds.)
"...just how good is the scientific evidence that some dinosaurs evolved into birds?"
Pretty damn good.
"But what does the Bible tell us about the origin of birds"
'And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day. And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky." (Genesis 1:19-20)'
Yes, having just spent 5 seconds looking up a quote I can personally attest that it was much easier than doing years and years of scientific research. No wonder creationists prefer the former.
"But what does the Bible tell us about the origin of birds..."
I think it says something like, God took a booger and fashioned it into a pointy-headed, floppy arm kinda thing, then sprinkled it with Pixie Dust, and Wow! It could FLY! ... or something equally stupid.
*sings* "We are staaaaaarrrrdust....we are goooooolden...."
....or was it "starlight"? I dunno. Can't remember. Some weird hippie song I only heard like once in my life.
********
But seriously; WHY IS IT SO DAMNED HARD TO ACCEPT THAT THE GENESIS STORY IS A MYTHICAL METAPHOR WITH A DEEPER MEANING AND THAT YOU CAN STILL BE A GOOD DEVOUT FOLLOWER OF ELOHIM/JESUS EVEN IF YOU ACCEPT EVOLUTION?!!!!
*YARGGH!* THESE BRAINS OF SUCH LIMITED CALIBER WITH THE INABILITY TO COMPREHEND SUCH SIMPLE CONCEPTS AS METAPHOR, ALLEGORY, SYMBOLISM, INFORMED CONSENT, NON-BELIEF IN ANY FORM OF HIGHER POWER.....*ASDFGHJKJHGFDSDFGHJKJHJKJHGFDSAAAAARRRGGHHHBBLLLAAAHHHH!!!* ....

I PITY the "Sheep" but the "Shepherds" need to be sent to the METAPHORICAL meat-packing plant!
Sorry for the All-Caps, folks but the stupid was too much!
I know. For the longest time, those big guys were thought to be reptiles. Even their name (Dinosaur), means "Thunder Lizard". The folks who slowly-realized that Dinos were proto-birds were very much under the original impression that that was the case....but they kept seeing weird signs and anomalies in the finds....and were forced to rethink everything.
The latest in that: Dinos had feathers....and they STILL LOOK BADASS!....

...."*BLAAAARRRGGHH! FEATHERS MAKE ME AWESOME! *CHOMP!*"
I know "Dinosaur" is still used (being all stuck in the world's consciousness for so long) but "Thunder Birds" would also be really cool.
DINOVOLUCRIS!
Volucris is a non-gendered term for "bird" in Latin. The other term that's feminine-tense is Avis .
"Avis" rolls off the tongue better. DINOAVIS IT IS!
Hey; If "Brontosaur" can be corrected into "Apatosaur" then why not call these ancient critters "Dinoavis"?
Of course; we'd have to rename them all....Tyrannoavis Rex! Apatoavis! Stegaavis! ETC...
But what does the fossil record tell us about the origin of birds, and just how good is the scientific evidence that some dinosaurs evolved into birds?
We have the fossils. We win.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
