Quote# 125454

It's almost like sex is a myth

We've all been living our lives in the hopes of some action, hearing about all of our friends exploits, reading about sexual acts that make the news, lending a shoulder whilst girls tell is about their tragic pump'n'dump by Chad.

But we've never seen it, never felt it, never had any tangible evidence that it even happens.

An existence as an incel is so far away from the typical human existence, I'm placed in utter shock every time i think about it.

I have an ounce of sympathy for the incels, because I am in kind of an inverse position. I met my wife when we were sixteen. The longest I ever went without sex in that time was about a year when her sex drive cratered during her pregnancy. Sex has never been something I have to seek, aside from cooking a nice dinner once in a while. Because of this, huge swathes of typical American culture are basically opaque to me. The whole teenage/20-something dating scene, sowing your wild oats, making a terrible mistake at a party one night, wild sexcapades with strangers, seeking companionship with new partners, wondering if you've finally found "the one," and fretting that you'll end up alone experience was just a weird story to me. A very large number of movies and TV shows are devoted to experiences that are supposedly common but that I just will never have. My wife and I would go to parties with our 20-something friends and listen to stories about who's banging who, and which couple is mismatched, and which of our various friends are secretly cheating on their current flings, and then we would go home and just shrug in bewilderment.

So I can sort of imagine how weird it must be from the other side. If sex is something mysterious and powerful that you are told that you should want, that our culture bombards you with propaganda about how you should make it a central aspect of your life, about how everybody is doin' it, but you have no way into that culture. I can very much understand how you would start to feel like an outsider because that is how I felt for about a decade or more, and I can understand how you might start to feel very bitter and develop some really warped ideas about sexuality and sex partners as a result.

Somewhat ironically, the feminism that incels like to blame for their problems is probably the long term cure for their delusions. As gender norms break down further, men should feel less pressure to define themselves based on their sexual conquests, and sexual experience will become less of a defining trait. But that will be a slow process and most of today's incels will likely be dead before we achieve such a utopian society.

So I feel an ounce of sympathy for them. I might even pity them if they weren't so intent on being such total fucking douchebags all the time.

Incels make me happy I have no sex drive or attraction.

Pharaoh Bastethotep

This reminds me of this video, titled Understanding the Sex Myth, which refutes many misconceptions enshrined in the Incel worldview. I think any incel who is still capable of recovery would profit massively benefit from watching it.

If anyone has a Reddit account that has not been banned from /r/incels, I kindly ask you to share this video there.

Incels make me happy because even though I'm a socially awkward autistic guy, I've at least managed to have sex with two women who both were magnificently, utterly, perverted. I mean, our perversions aligned perfectly.

But, anyway, though....I hope you don't mind me asking, but you're really totally asexual? Don't get me wrong now, I wouldn't think any less of you, it's just...something I can't see how anyone can be, looking through KingOfRhye-tinted-glasses.

Yes I am. I simply have no sexual attraction or desire at all. It's why I often don't know what I'm talking about. I am an outsider looking in. Yet I have accepted it and I still have friendships and meaningful life.

Well, all right, good enough answer. Hope I didn't piss you off or something, just curious.

The Reptilian Jew

Delusion, plain and simple.

Incels make me happy I am nothing like them. I may have low self esteem and depression but I know I am at least better than incels

Hu's On First

Interestingly, the British sexologist Havelock Ellis thought he was impotent (today he'd probably use the term asexual) for most of his life. Then, at age 60, he saw a woman urinating and was suddenly aroused. Turned out he was actually an exclusive urophile.

Because of this, Ellis was married but his marriage was an "open" one, with his wife routinely seeing other men. I'm sure the manosphere/incel types would have a lot of insulting words for someone like him.

Well, sex must happen because you're here whining about how you can't get your pee-pee wet on the Web.

I know that "incels" have a persecution complex but I didn't realize that it included a martyr complex as well.

That's why I have to laugh at "That Which Shall Not Be Named" railing against Western civilization, Lofgren; its belief that a man's worth is based on whether or not they're having sex with lots of women is very much a product of the very culture it hates so much.

I might feel sympathy for "incels" as well speaking as someone who's shy. I can also be awkward at times as well. I'm not as bad as I was in my teens and early 20's, a job I worked did wonders to improve my social skills, but at the same time, I made an effort at self-improvement and realize all the socially awkward things I did; there are a couple dates I went on where I cringe massively at how I behaved.

The difference between me and "incels" is at least I have the self-awareness to realize the mistakes I made and avoid them. Now, I'm in a casual relationship with an amazing woman I enjoy spending time with both in and out of the bedroom.

But, going back to where I started before I went off course, any sympathy I have for "incels" goes out the window when I see what a bunch of women-hating assholes they are.

I'm sure if someone shared that video on r/incels, it would get deleted and that individual would get banned in short order, Pharaoh.

Doubting Thomas

I think it might be better for them if they did believe that sex is just a myth. Then maybe they wouldn't be obsessing over it so damn much. They also might not hate women and the men who sleep with them because of jealousy.

Doubting Thomas

I'm sure if someone shared that video on r/incels, it would get deleted and that individual would get banned in short order, Pharaoh.

Of course it would, because the talk is being given by a woman and all women deliberately lie to incels so they will do the wrong thing thus hampering their efforts to get laid.

3/17/2017 6:43:58 AM

"It's almost like sex is a myth '

It's not. It does happen.

Incels never learn. When a woman comes to give advice they never take it. But they're cock sure of what women want then get rejected. A little self awareness for these fuckers is step one

3/17/2017 7:32:38 AM

If you ask women for "some action", you will probably get laughed at.
About half your friends' exploits are lies and exaggerations.
Sexual acts that make the news? What news are you reading?
Funny, I've never had a "tragic pump'n'dump" by anyone, let alone anyone named Chad (not a common name in Sweden). I also refrain from telling my heartaches to single men, unless I KNOW they are not interested in me.

I've seen it, I've felt it, I have had lots and lots and lots of tangible evidence that it happens, all the time.
Most "incels" would probably think I'm a useless old hag (being 47 and all) who surely have stopped having sex a long time ago. But nuh-uh! I'm much more active now, than they have ever been.

You have invented your own predicament, stupid. Stop fixating your entire existence on sex; life is so much more, so many other things. Focus on them, and you might become a bit more interesting, and some woman might take notice. Desperation and clinginess are very unattractive.

3/17/2017 8:22:47 AM

So, like picking at a scab, you keep obsessing about your lack of sex as of this point in your young life. You must really enjoy misery, to wallow in it so much.

3/17/2017 12:34:19 PM

>Most "incels" would probably think I'm a useless old hag (being 47 and all)

"Incels" consider women who are over 25 to be "useless old hags", Swede.

I'd love to find out these dipshits explanation for the popularity of MILF porn. Hell, my first job out of college, I worked with a woman who was in her early 40's, had two kids and had a body that women half her age would have killed for.

If she hadn't been engaged at the time and had asked me to go to bed with her, I would have said yes before she finished her offer.

At that point, I was about four years into my nine year dry spell and before any "incel" or manuresphere types say I would have slept with her because I was "desperate", I could have gotten laid the night before I still would had sex with her!

3/17/2017 1:22:55 PM

This post....hits a little too close to home. As much as I hate the conclusions incels draw from their experiences, I do feel a lot of empathy for them. I felt the way they did, at one point. Still kind of do in some ways, if I'm totally honest. It's incredibly hard to escape a thought process when every argument against it runs counter to your life experience; these guys are just as trapped as they are anything else.

I could actually subscribe to the incel world veiw if this was all it was about. It's the knee jerk misogyny and alt-right anti-feminist bullshit that pisses me off. If it wasn't for that I'd be all over it. I completly understand the feeling articulated in this quote, and once atempted suicide for that exact reason. When someone goes through life denied of any kind of love, affection, or human conection, they either become numb or bitter. I chose numb. Incels chose bitter.
