Looking at the original post, I do think Savage is off base with his criticisms. I see no reason to believe Melania is personally responsible for the lawsuits or plagarism. As for her her birther comments, we need to know what would have happened if she hadn't repeated her husband's slanders. She's scarcely worthy of discussion, except for her immigration history.

Oh for the love of...listen, Melania Trump hasn't had the chance to do much yet. She made a trip to read to sick children in a hospital and that's about it because she didn't want this to begin with and decided she'd rather be at home with her child. Nothing wrong with that.
Being a good mommy (which by all accounts she is), is important too. I respect that.
Her immigrant status, her nude photos - well, I couldn't possibly care less. The plagiarism things bothers me though.
That said, I don't see why people hate this woman so much. She married a man who probably treated her like a Goddess until they actually got married and she saw the same megalomaniacal asswipe he presented to his first two wives (after the wedding, of course). I have a great deal of empathy for her. Sure, she has money (and did before she wed Trump, as she was a successful model), but she's practically a prisoner of her husband and stuck in a situation she'd have never chosen for herself.
She just wants to raise her son. I figure she and Barron will be better off if she's allowed the privacy and space to do that. Let her enjoy the bit of peaceful time she gets away from her husband. Smart money says she's using that time to work on a way to make the separation permanent.
