Western liberal consumerist culture brainwashes girls into believing the greatest achievement for women is to become successful careerists just like men, and that raising a family and nurturing the next generation is oppression. Combine that with the hypergamous nature of females, and what you get is a generation with an unprecedented proportion of left-over women.

Actually, it was the industrialists who wanted women to work so they had a greater pool of people to exploit and because originally, women were cheaper labour. Why do you hate capitalism?
And no, I do not think that career obsession is desirable and that caring for your family is oppression... for either gender. Obviously, throwing away love and family to be a slave to the corporate masters is not the solution. But neither is forcing women back into the kitchen (as if they would let you...). The solution is to make work more compatible with family life.
Mostly, girls are brainwashed into thinking that their looks is everything, that being fat is a sin and that everyone with more meat on their bones than a mummy is fat. Most women manage to have a career AND a family, anyway.
You know so much about the nature of women and how women feel, you must be a woman, right? Right?
"Females" are no more hypergamous than males, dearie.
If anything, I married down, just a teensy bit. I chose him for his personality, though, not for his wallet.

Our culture does teach shitty values to women, but teaching them the value of having a career is not one of them.
As far as left over women- bullshit. There are a lot of women I am interested in but I'll be damned if every one of them didn't have a boyfriend already.
