Quote# 113513

How rascally! Push women into the workforce, push women into the arms of alpha men and away from the tepid hugs of ol’ beta reliables. You give a lady an inch (or nine) of romance and she takes a mile of Harlequin entitlement.

The causality arrow is up for debate. The Straw is saying that the necessity of working women during the war years (and the unforeseen *ahem* side benefits that accrued to women), plus the rise of anonymous, atomized urbanization, precipitated the feminist devolution.

Or, the feminism propaganda blitz and government/cultural incentives to get women into the workforce en masse came first, which undermined K-selected America and germinated r-selected America. The foul source in this analysis was the fulfillment of two wishes: The wish of the elite for mo’ money and less social cohesion among the majority culture, and the subconscious wish of women for greater fulfillment of their primal (read: not careerist) desires.

(Just as salient, perhaps, the drive to get all women out of the home and into the working world could be viewed as the temper tantrum of a whinority of butt ugly women who never had a shot at domestic tranquility and therefore felt it necessary to agitate for a sea change in how working women were perceived.)

Female hypergamy was with us long before the working girl devolution, but social shaming (and social extolling) campaigns can have a significant impact in how forcefully and frequently that hypergamy is expressed.

If you don't think women have always been half the workforce, I invite you to put on a corset and go live at one of the colonial life recreation sites we have here on the East coast. Somewhere between boiling up a batch of soap and harvesting you'll tap out.

Translation (again): Waah, women that work outside the home not only get the money to be independent, but are exposed to cooler guys than me which means that I have even less of a chance than my repellent personality and world view give me.

Or at least that's what I got of that ridiculous babble.

What saddens me is the average person hates an SJW far more then a MRA, almost like they never seen an MRA.

Women weren't pushed into the workforce; we worked very hard to get there, to earn our own money.
Alpha and beta are just silly figments of your imagination.

You give a lady an inch or nine, and she'll take about the same as a gentleman given an inch or nine. We are more similar than we are different, silly-nilly.

You seem in the midst of a temper tantrum with an whinority of equally butt-ugly men who never will have a shot at domestic tranquility unless you can force a woman to live with you.

Female hypergamy? That shiny mirror is very shiny today, boy-o! Male hypergamy has been with us even longer than female hypergamy; it was males who held the decisions about marriage before women had any civil rights, after all, and I bet those who had a change married the best-looking and richest girl they could find.

Don't make us show the entitlement that men have reading bullshit in internet or watching porn before my irony meter explode. Or the fact that, without women in the workforce in WWII or now, you'd not exist

You get hypergamy if you don't wash or bathe that often.

Yeah, yeah, you can't get laid. It's the fault of upwardly-mobile women. It's the fault of ugly women. It's the fault of society in general. It's the fault of Eve. Yet somehow you never ask the person in the mirror whose fault it is.....

Look, bozo, women enter the work force one by one, as a personal decision. That's pretty much the same way they get partners in life. It isn't so much that society drives individual lives as it is that the summation of individual lives define society. And for some reason you (beta? Or way on down the alphabet?) think you're entitled to an alpha woman, so much so that you have no compunction about dissing the less-desirable ones. I'm not surprised that none of them want to deal with you. Whining and complaining and laying the blame on someone else is SUCH a turn-off, and an inferiority complex is not a pretty thing.

undie not fundie

Oh! No women in the workforce.

Tara Strong as Harley Quinn:

Just ask 4.6 million gamers if she was entitled to play that character in the Unreal Engine 3-based & massively successful hypergame "Batman: Arkham City", Shateau Fartiste.

Old Viking

And we should put a nix on voting and driving cars.

Goomy pls

Oy vey, I really cannot handle all this broscience in one post.

Yes I can't imagine why people would hate a group that is able to have speakers in the UN that spew bullshit bigotry, more than a group of idiots who will never get laid online.

Almost as if one group wants control over people, the other are self inflicted basement dwellers.

Doubting Thomas

Push women into the workforce, push women into the arms of alpha men

At last it comes out. The reason these MRA's are against women working is because they're afraid that if they ever get a woman, if she's allowed to leave the house she'll meet someone better.

10/11/2015 5:48:48 PM

Technically, both groups of people would like to dictate their vision onto others. Key word: like to. Seeing as how traditionally, women were marginalized (and in some areas arguably still are), the SJWs are often given more of a free pass by otherwise liberal people. That, and some liberals are every bit is tribalistic as the conservatives they pretend to hate; they care more about bashing the hated conservatives than actually supporting actual liberal ideas.

That being said, I'm not too worried about the United Nations supporting whatever whackjob it is this week. The UN has a long, proud history of ineptitude and impotence, so I doubt that what's her name asking them to censor her critics (I can't even be bothered to find out if that's the exact story) will have any effect.

There is no such fucking thing as "hypergamy". Making up a sciencey sounding word does not make it science.

@ Anon-e-moose:

And she was awesome!

K-selected? r-selected? Do I even want to know wtf that means??

10/11/2015 8:48:56 PM

What I read: I can't get laid, part 327,456

10/12/2015 1:22:14 AM

For all the bitching about "hypergamy" (marrying up in terms of social and financial standing) these dolts sure do love to advocate a mentality where marriage is the only method a woman can attain financial security and similarly the only consideration for whom they marry, thus exacerbating the issue of being passed over by all but the most desperate who grudingly consider them a last resort and would likely live in resentment for it.

10/12/2015 2:09:31 AM

He sure uses long words.

Still stupid.

In actual science, the r/K selection theory is a partially outdated theory that describes two different reproductive strategies used by various organisms. Put simply, r strategists produce many fast-growing offspring and devote little care to them, while K-strategists produce few slower-growing offspring and devote much care to them.
In the context of this rant I have no idea what it means, but given that it's an MRA, it's pretty easy to guess.

Unlike the males who read various PUA media, the vast majority of women who read romance know it is pure escapist fantasy.
