Jackson created the Democratic party and surely that theory was prominent in his thinking, (take from the haves (Native Americans) and give to the have-nots).
Why didn't he just deport the American Indian chiefs who had gained the benefit of the wealth instead of deporting all of them, including the random American Indians who basically were the same as any poor white in the US South except for their skin colour. I would think it wouldn't be too hard to go take the wealth of the Indian leaders (who lived similarly to the white plantation owners) and give it to the rest of the Creek, Cherokee, etc. community without committing the most blatant act of ethnic cleansing in American history.
But this is pseudo-history. Anything goes, right?
Also his low view of the value of human life (think abortion).
I never knew the abortion debate was such a big issue in Andrew Jackson's era.
I know that a recent trend in conservative nonsense is to blame the Democrats for everything bad in American history (while neglecting to mention that except for the Civil War, the Republicans stood back and watched), but holy shit, this is something else.
We see where the Sermon on the Mount was not at all in his thinking.
It also isn't in the thinking of any Republicans nowadays, but hey, let's play the partisan game.
Very few calling themselves Christian follow the principles set forth in the Sermon on the Mount, indeed.
Including yourself, I'm just guessing. But I guess that's a true statement here.
