B) Yes, I would use it. I am a strong gay rights supporter. I have zero problems with gay people. Why would I use it? Life is hard enough. Gay people are targets of violent crimes, have much higher rates of suicide, and have higher incidence of drug use. Why? Because being gay is incredibly hard. If you had the opportunity to save your child that pain, why wouldn't you?
Then again, if I could, I would adjust my children genetically to be 10s, have IQs into the 300s, and have DDs/10" penises. Why? Because everybody wants the worlds best offspring. You want your kids to be the smartest, hottest, most popular people to ever grace the earth. Why wouldn't you produce the best offspring? There is literally NO downside to genetic perfection, and NO upside to flawed genetics.

The position that has no upside or downside is to be average, numbskull! People who do have IQs in the 300s are usually very lonely and bored. Huge breasts or dongs can be more of a burden than an asset.
I'd say that everyone wants a happy offspring, rather than a "perfect" one. I'd rather have a child with IQ 120 who fits in, than one with 300 who never finds friends and kills herself out of unbearable boredom at age 22.
Besides, if you could, odds are that more could too, and an IQ of 300 would be average in no time.

We have been genetically manipulating pedigree dogs for centuries yet it is estimated that there is between 300 to 400 different breeds of dog and any number of mongrels because some of us like big dogs, medium size dogs or small dogs.

Sure there are. A lot of genes affect more than one trait, and certain genes switch on and off at different times. Just wait until those "perfect" genes trigger some horrible genetic time bomb that only manifests later in life.

The average IQ is 100 by definition, and the scale needs to be recalibrated every so often.
Populations with genetic variability have better long-term survival probability (chances are they are more adaptable, and will not be wiped out by a single strain of virus or bacteria).

By wishing genetic perfection upon your children, you're condemning them to the sides of the gene pool.
I don't think you understand the importance of genetic diversity. Let's say there's a virus that enters the cell through a surface protein linked to high intelligence. If everyone had the gene that produced large amounts of that hypothetical protein, that virus has nothing in its way. It would cause major brain damage and/or kill massive swathes of the population.
But that's an oversimplification, because not everything is genetic. Intelligence, personality, and so on have at least some basis in upbringing.
And your great grandson Elijah is hating your guts for making this wish instead of contributing to a less hateful world.

Okay, this is fucking creepy. But, sure, eliminate all the gay people instead of eliminating all the homophobia. Why not try genetically modifying people to not be assholes? Prejudice, intolerance, and bigotry is what makes being a gay person "incredibly hard."
If your "super hot" genetically perfect children were actually perfect they'd have no issues with GLBT people-- just like the super tolerant gay ally from Waterloo, here... And FYI, having huge breasts and giant dicks does definitely cause people discomfort and problems.
There is something to be said for the potential benefits of genetic enhancement but if we're going to use it wisely rushing at it with this black-and-white attitude "NO downside to genetic perfection, and NO upside to flawed genetics" doesn't work. Most genes aren't like that. They will be better in some ways and more flawed in other ways.
If anything targeted protein treatments will be used to enhance intelligence a lot sooner than gene therapy.

And this highlights one of the many problems with eugenics attempts: the fact that humans, who are flawed, determine what goals to work towards.
If past eugenics attempts had involved, say, eradicating alleles that increase cancer and Alzheimer's risk, we wouldn't associate the word with atrocities.
Genes do not work that way. There's no such thing as a good/bad gene, only the effects of a gene (and insisting otherwise is akin to racism). Also, there's no gene that codes for hotness or intelligence or any of the other insane things you listed. Attractiveness largely comes from the ability to take care of yourself properly, exercising, bathing etc. Intelligence does not come from a genetic predisposition but from environmental factors like good education.
Quasirodent, it' s actually going up. The average young adult today is significantly more intelligent than the average young adult of 1950, who was far more than one of 1850. We keep readjusting the IQ scale because the "average" needs to be 100, but each new generation skews it upowards.
The most plausible theory IMO is that diet and environment (fewer lead paint chips, etc) are the cause of the improvement.
