What we learn from the Bible is that borders are God’s idea, and that such borders are to be respected. They are not to be crossed without permission. -
Our southern border is there by God’s design. To disregard it, to treat it as if were not there, to regard it as something not worth respecting and defending, is an insult to the God who put it there for our benefit.

What the actual fuck. God didn't put that border there-we did, after wiping out the native peoples and taking territory from other nations.
Clearly, the only thing that has ever invaded Fischer's own "southern border" is his head.
In a sensible educated land you should lose followers everytime you say something so astoundingly stupid and unsupportable. In such a land Fischer would have been laughed out of business years ago along with Cruz, Santorum or the likes of Palin.
What the fuck have you been teaching the children down there for the last 50 years?
Apparently that God has ordained borders for one thing.
Tell us Bryan, has God ordained Taco toppings too?
And borders are so important they're shown on all the maps, and painted on the earth large enough that you can see them from orbit...
Oh, wait, they're NOT! Not painted on earth, not visible from orbit, not god's idea, not put there by god. And what about all of the maps of the same areas showing different borders? Are these "Not True Maps" then?
Where's your evidence they ARE "god's idea", "put there by god", and "to be respected"? And if god is so big on borders, how does he say the state of Israel should be divided? And where was your god when the borders were changing during the world wars? Where was he after World War II when they were carving up Europe?
If they are so important, where is this detailed in your holy book of "morals"? Is that before or after the "kill everyone that has a different religion than you" verses?
Good point. I was looking at the Earth just yesterday and I saw that Mexico was pink and the US was more of an orange color. Canada was green. Evolutionists think it got that way by accident but how did Alaska randomly know to be orange just like the rest of the US and not green like Canada, huh? Clearly God made it that way. God also put a plastic cap on the North pole (So much for liberal atheists' ideas about global warming melting the polar caps. Do you know how how it would have to be to melt plastic? Checkmate, global warming fanatics.). The South pole has some writing on it that indicates that the Earth was made in China. This obviously proves that God is Chinese.
Because God watches Fox News and is pissed off that brown people are illegally entering his country.
You know what? If God loves his southern border so much, then just maybe he should make conditions in the countries south of that border a little better so people won't feel inclined to cross it.

Apparently someone forgot to remind God when he commanded his children to invade neighboring countries and claim them for his own.
I take it no one has considered the most ominous possibility--that Fischer thinks the Mexican-American War was divinely ordained, or at least God was expressly on the United States' side. (Not sure how/if the Gadsden Purchase factors into divine conceits.)
Granted the idea isn't without precedent, but the wars in Josue don't have much archaeological corroboration; the main suspicion nowadays seems to be that Josiah requested the crafting of such a "history" in a desperate attempt to unify the Judeans and Israelites against Assyria via Aeneid-style epic history. This, though, WOULD be a situation of the other direction--a corroborated war being imputed to not-so-corroborated divine wishes. (Did Tyler try invoking God expressly to rally support for Texas, out of curiosity?)
And here I always thought that Zachery Taylor and the Mexican War had something to do with that border.
What I don't understand is why even fundies don't laugh in Fischer's face. Some of the shit he comes up with is beyond belief.
Oh yes, sure, and I suppose God also made us win the Spanish-American war too. God also must have been on a break that one time the British burned down the capital. Look, the U.S. has an imperial past, but so does nearly every nation. The point is that we've moved past that.
Bryan is aware that there are Border Patrol officers, right? I mean, it's not like anyone can just walk on through from Mexico to the United States with nary a glance backwards.
And if God really wanted the border closed, he would have done so already. After all, he is omnipotent, isn't he?
Hey Bryan! You should have thought of that since you are the spawn of illegal aliens crossing the border to the land of the Native Americans, killed them all, took their land, and kidnapped millions of Africans to make Your freeloading, Christian lives more covenient, and make you profit in the name of the slave supporting bible god...
So I suggest you take Your sorry ass and move it back to the all white Europe again...
And it also seems that this "godly design" is an excuse not to help the least of Your saviors Brother and sister. I gather you just regard children refuges from your drug war as "illegals" and moochers, eh? What if they were fetuses? You seem to hold fetuses in high regards due to Onan...
What about the borders between states? And counties? And municipalities? And time zones? And area codes? According to you, permission is required to cross each and every one of those, right? Even when making phone calls?
If you don't, you're "disregarding it, to treating it as if were not there, regarding it as something not worth respecting and defending, and being insulting to the God who put it there for our benefit."
And which god of the thousands of gods is this again? Zeus? Buddha? FSM?
I get it with you fundies, just like you do with your bible, you pick and choose which ones are important, right?
Bryan has obviously forgotten God's words to Abraham: "Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you" (Genesis 12:1). All the patriarchs in the Bible, as well as Jesus, crossed borders. None of them were asked for their passports.
If you think the US-Mexican border is there by God's design, so are all other border treaties, including the ones made by Stalin.
Baring false witness?
Where in the bible does it reference "any" political border in the New World, the existence of the New World, and then, the existence of the US?
Why do you hate your southern Christian neighbors so much?
Lying for Jesus is a form of pious fraud which happens when some Christians believe that falsifying information is acceptable if that brings people to Jesus or somehow supports his historicity, saintliness or supposed godliness.
The practice has a long and venerable history in the Christian religions.

Because like most conservatives with a radio show, he tells them what they want to hear. It doesn't matter if it's beyond belief or not, it validates their bigotry.
I understand the reason and necessity of borders in today's world but apparently you are living in lala fantasy land.
The reason for borders and controled immigration have nothing to do with an invisible man in the sky.
I think this a new low for Bryan Fischer. This is so impossibly idiotic that if a random person on the internet were saying it it would be an obvious Poe.
I mean holy shit man, is James K. Polk God now? You know that God had nothing to do with the Mexican-American War or the Treaty of Guadeloupe Hidalgo, right? Right?
To disregard it, to treat it as if were not there, to regard it as something not worth respecting and defending, is an insult to the God who put it there for our benefit.
God didn't tell the US to annex Texas, which was part of Mexico until 1845.
Confused?
