Because NOTHING can be that one-in-infinity chance. That's the nature of infinity. The only chance of a single finite result in infinite possibility is with infinite attempts. And if there are, in fact, infinite universes (and there very well might be) then that GUARANTEES there's a God out there. Because on of those infinite realities would have exactly the properties to turn an entire universe into a single sentient lifeform (life in this case is a loose term).

[on why "argument from personal incredulity" isn't a logical fallacy]

How's it a logical fallacy? Logic is by definition a consideration of incredulity. And incredulity is by nature personal. Therefor logic IS personal incredulity.

[Emphasis added]

Cardinal Alfonso Llopez Trujillo announced Tuesday that the Colombian Catholic Church has excommunicated all persons involved in obtaining an abortion for an 11-year-old girl, who became pregnant after she was raped.[...]

Archishop Luis Augusto Castro, president of the Bishops’ Conference of Colombia, spoke out against the Court’s decision to accept abortion in difficult cases involving rape or incest, saying “The child is innocent…the criminal should be punished and put in jail for a long time, but the child should not have to pay for the sins of another. He is an innocent baby.”

Sure you believe that there was all this dust for no reason and it all decided to go Plop and boomed into everything we have today. Then rocks came alive and made the first ever bacteria which found something to eat and someone else to marry (good trick). of course this is bull-turd but once you add millions of years to it all of a sudden its "scientific". Why? because evolution into organisms is very slow. Of course it is. Its completely stopped. It doesnt happen at all. This RELIGION is a pathetic attempt to push God out of the picture.

Do you know the "only" test that would prove this [that the soul has a weight] wrong? Take a animal, which has no soul, and do the same test. If it loses weight upon death, then it is physical. If it don't, then the other test proves there is a soul. I don't know of any scientist brave enough to make such a bold quest for actual truth. Because this test has been out there for how long? And no one, that wants to disprove this, is not smart enough to figure out that a soul-less life test would bring no doubt?

I actually think the test has already been done. But the atheist did not like the out come. So it was never revealed. There is a difference between wanted actual truth, and justification for what one wants to believe.

Carbon-14 dating of fossils is based on the amount of C-14 found in that fossil, the more C-14 found in a fossil, the younger it is supposed to be; if very little C-14 is found, then it is supposed to be very old. It's as simple as that. The problem is, however, it is ASSUMED by Carbon-14 daters that the C-12/C-14 ratio in the atmosphere reached a steady state millions of years ago; in other words they ASSUME the amount of C-14 being produced in the atmosphere has been the same as the amount of C-14 decaying or leaving the atmosphere for millions of years, therefore the amount of C-14 in the atmosphere is ASSUMED to have been a constant amount for millions of years.

Unfortunately, for evolutionary-minded people, there is not one shred of EVIDENCE to support that ASSUMPTION; the only way to prove that the C-12/C-14 ratio has been the same for millions of years as it is today is to test something living today that is known to be millions of years old [such as a tree with a million tree rings], but we know there's nothing living today even remotely approaching such ages.

Evolutionary scientists have calculated that it would take 30, 000 years from the beginning of the earth to reach a steady state or constant amount of C-14 in the atmosphere. Measurements taken recently by nuclear chemists Fairhall and Young suggest that the amount of C-14 being produced in the atmosphere is as much as 50 per cent out of balance. By these measurements we would have to conclude according to evolutionists' very own calculations that the earth is much less than 30, 000 years old since the C-14 in the atmosphere has not yet built up to that steady state.

Perhaps, these are just a few of the reasons that the late Stephen Jay Gould, for many years America's foremost evolutionist, always refused to debate any creation scientists.

If you choose to believe that atoms happen (randomly) to order themselves into complex right handed and left handed amino acids, and create knotted protein structures and high efficiency chemical self replicating machines and then evolve through happenstance (random) processes only governed by "survival" - well, that is you religion.

Mine is that there is a simple compound God unknowable in essence behind all these things. That is after all the simplist explanation.

Pluto is no longer a planet....yes, the learned scientific community has admitted to their little plunder...so Pluto does not qualify as a planet but is just a tag along to our planetary system.

And this does make quite good logic as the scientific community has downgraded the human species into an evolved life form with no special intent or purpose other than to survive. They also see little reasons to protect life at any stage of the way especially if it might help produce something that will help their research programs. (I know that there are many ethical scientist out there who don't get the chance to rebut a lot of this group and for good reason...blacklisting.)

So now we see many astromnomers eating their words and accepting their falability...of course they will blame it on the new technology that allows them to peer deeper into the universe and not that they jumped to the wrong conclusion to begin with.

Just my observation...

"Jesus Camp." directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady ("The Boys of Baraka"), follows Levi, Rachael, and Tory to Pastor Becky Fischer's "Kids on Fire" summer camp in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, where kids as young as 6 years-old are taught to become dedicated Christian soldiers in "God's army."

The film follows these children at camp as they hone their "prophetic gifts" and are schooled in how to "take back America for Christ." The film offers a first-ever look into an intense training ground that recruits born-again Christian children to become an active part of America's political future.

Well, evolving and adapting are two different things, so I guess that the two have no correlation. But alas, some fool-hardy people wish to think that they do. I'll elaborate on that ...

In natural selection, things change physically in order to meet needs. In evolution, they are saying that species change species. We are not apes, apes are not humans, therefore, we can not come from apes, and apes can't come from humans. Dogs are not cats, cats are not dogs. AND FURTHERMORE you can't cross breed the two. I'll guarantee 1,000 to 1 if you took a male ape's semen and injected it into a female human, nothing would happen, and the woman would not concieve. It was setup this way, and that's just the way it is. I can't, to the life of me, see the reason why people wish to believe that we came from apes.

Now ... explain to me, why you think we evolved from apes. Apes have adapted relatively well enough to survive. They have no need to think or add or subtract, or multiply or divide. They have no need of highly sophisticated jobs ... now tell me, how in the world can we come from apes? It makes absolutely no sense. Furthermore, how could apes have came from us? That's even more bizarre.

Natural Selection and Evolution are so totally seperate and opposite that it's amazing, yet people still wish to continue in the thought process that they are similar or even exactly the same.

I am the one that wastes a lot of time on here because no one knows anything about evolutionary theory. Even most Phds in Biology know very little about it.

[Do you think that maybe, just MAYBE, that it might be your idea of evolution is incorrect, meaning that your assertions about evolution don't match up to what others say?]

Maybe Evos have come to realize that their theory is incorrect. They use to try and defend it, but they do not try to defend it anymore.

Well, this is the bottom line for me. You might have came from an ape, or any of the other liberal Anti-Christian, hard-core evolutionists might have, BUT I DID NOT! I was formed with the care and dilligence of one who has a plan for me and my life, and wants me to spend eternity with him in a place where suffering and despair do not exist. Don't like it? That's your problem, not mine. I can't force anyone to believe the way I do, nor can my brother Jeremiah or any of the others on here. All we can do is direct you towards the truth, of which there is significant evidence should you so choose to get up off your lazy hind-end and research it. But otherwise than that, we have our assurance, and we don't need people like you telling us that we're fools, because it isn't your call as to where we're going. If you feel satisfied in the fact of your belief that once you die, that's it, ka-poof .... hey great, I hope you can find a strong anti-depressant once you hit 70-80, because that's a scary thought. We don't have that problem, we have the assurance of a MUCH GREATER life ahead.

Now ... about that genetic mutation stuff that someone was spouting off about earlier. A genetic mutation is something that happens ONE TIME. It does not pass on to the off-spring, and it does not transfer to the female mate. I was fortunate enough to be a student during a highly informative study during Wednesday night Bible study by a 35+ year experience physician, who was also one of the first to graduate from the local Osteopathic School of Medicine. And also a graduate of one of the major Universities within our state ... needless to say, he knows what he's talking about. He is a good friend of the family, when I can I'll get some more information on the subject from him and post it.

Are demons present in this world? Is the sky blue? It's not a matter of if demons are here, but what they're doing. I, personally, believe that most of the old ancient myths are based either upon a corruption of Biblical events (creation, flood, etc) or they're based upon actual human interaction with demons. This, I believe, would explain a lot of the so called "magic" that is written down in history as well as what goes on today under the same name.

As for feeling when demons are around you, I don't know. I can feel the Holy Spirit, but as far as demons and angels are concerned I've never knowingly dealt with one. My father has, as well as some of the elders of my old church, but not me. Maybe this ability to sense demons and angels is a gift?
